Scarlett Johansson Opens Up About Avoiding Social Media Due to Fragile Self-Esteem
In a recent episode of The Skinny Confidential Him & Her podcast, Scarlett Johansson shared the reasons behind her decision to stay away from social media in today’s digital age. She admitted feeling pressure from reading negative comments.
“I’m really too fragile a person to use social media. I can’t handle it; my self-esteem is very fragile. My brain is, too—I’m like a delicate flower,” revealed Scarlett Johansson.
The Black Widow star went on to discuss another reason she hesitates about using social media. She disclosed that she once used these platforms for about three days with her company’s account but ultimately found it underwhelming.
“I started to realize that I was spending 20 minutes looking at someone’s profile—someone who works for my company. I know this person has a pit bull, two daughters, and lives somewhere. But I realized I was squandering this time without purpose,” continued the actress. “I even felt like I should move to California and change my life. That’s why I don’t want to use social media.”
In reality, Scarlett Johansson is known for being private about her personal life. She became even more reserved during her pregnancy, citing a desire to avoid scrutiny and judgment from others, whether positive or negative.
